NTC Contracting
Overview
NTC Contracting is a privately owned, medium-size earthmoving and civil engineering construction company, based in Onslow, a small town situated on the coast of the South West Pilbara region. The Wheatstone Project is 25 km by road from NTC’s head office, which allows us to pool local resources and make decisions quickly and efficiently. This also makes NTC the major local contractor currently (Q1 2012) on the Wheatstone Project.
NTC has established an excellent reputation in the area as an efficient earthmoving and civil construction business with an experienced management team and skilled operators, providing an extensive range of reliable plant and equipment, maintained by our own workshop staff.
Wheatstone Scope of Work
NTC Contracting is currently working on construction of Wheatstone’s early works civil package, which consists of access roads at the Construction Village as well as construction of camp hardstand pad areas. The commencement of this contract made NTC the first civil contractor to obtain access to the worksite.
The scope for this early works civil contract involves:
- Seawater intake system installation
- Main road and access road construction
- Excavation and filling
- Construction of hardstand pad areas
- Stormwater drainage and culverts
